🐾 Frequently Asked Questions

🐶 Your Dog

What dogs can join?

All friendly and happy dogs can join - any age! We also accept anxious dogs - we often find their confidence grows after a few trips! We also accept puppies, but would ensure they are booked with other puppies/smaller dogs. Unfortunately, we cannot accept dogs which show signs of aggression for the safety of our other passengers.

How do you match dogs?

We carefully match all groups - to size, energy and temperament. We rely on all owners providing full and accurate details at the time of booking.

Do you accept unneutered dogs?

Unfortunately, we’re unable to accept unneutered male dogs, (or bitches in season). Although your dog may be perfectly friendly with others, we have to consider the safety and comfort of all our passengers, as some dogs can react unpredictably.

We completely understand that this may feel unfair, and we're very sorry to disappoint you. We do, however, need to follow our safety guidelines so that every dog can enjoy a happy and secure experience with us.

Is your bus suitable for senior or less mobile dogs?

Absolutely - we have easy access steps through our side door, and a power tail lift at the rear of the bus to help our more senior/less mobile dogs.

What happens if my dog doesn't settle?

We offer FREE local taster rides to give your dog the opportunity to ride on our bus and socialise with other dogs at a local dog field. This allows us to stay close to home in the unlikely event that one of our new passengers isn't happy on our bus (something we've yet to experience!) and also gives us the opportunity to see how they socialise with other dogs in the group that day.

Our experienced crew are very good at helping nervous or anxious dogs settle. We spend extra time with our more anxious passengers and take great care with introductions, making sure they are comfortable with both the bus and their fellow passengers before heading off on an adventure.

We also keep our adventure locations within a relatively small radius — generally no more than a 12–15 mile radius. If, despite our best efforts, a dog really doesn't settle or becomes distressed, their welfare comes first. We would contact their owner and arrange for them to be returned home safely rather than expect them to continue with any experience they aren't comfortable with.

🚌 Our bus

Will my dog travel in a crate?

Definitely not! We don't like crates on our bus. Each dog (maximum of 12 dogs) will either have its own open pod with secure harnesses or will be securely harnessed at ground level - safety is of paramount importance on our bus. Our bus is an ex-welfare school bus with many safety features included.

Is the bus temperature controlled?

Yes, our bus is fully climate-controlled.

Can owners travel on the bus?

Due to space and safety restrictions, we are limited in the number of helpers who can travel on the bus. We have an experienced crew on board so, unfortunately, this means we are unable to accommodate owners alongside their dogs.

Can I volunteer?

Absolutely! We are always looking for volunteers to join our crew. You must love dogs though!

🌳 The Adventure

Do you collect and drop-off from/to homes?

Yes we do, but to minimise the time spent on our bus and more time for adventure, we offer designated enroute 'pup stops' as near to our you as possible. We have a number of 'pup stops' available, and these will expand as our areas do - please refer to our booking form.

How long will each trip last?

Each trip lasts a minimum of 3hrs (traffic dependent), including pick-ups, transport, play/swimming/treats on the way home and drop offs.

What activities are included?

We try to cater for all energy levels. This includes supervised socialising in securely fenced fields, or woodland, as well as supervised canine swimming pools. Anything that's fun and enriching! They also get a little treat on the way home (if allowed!). Please flag any allergies prior to travel.

Will my dog be supervised at all times?

Yes, all dogs will be supervised at all times.

💉 Health & Safety

What vaccinations are required?

To help keep every dog on board safe and happy, we ask that all dogs joining our bus have their vaccinations kept up to date in line with their vet’s advice. For our group adventures, we require:

  • DHP (Distemper, Hepatitis and Parvovirus) – core vaccination

  • Leptospirosis (Lepto) – recommended annually due to the outdoor nature of our adventures and the potential risk from wildlife, muddy areas, puddles and shared environments.

We also recommend discussing Kennel Cough vaccination with your vet, particularly for dogs who regularly mix with other dogs.

We understand every dog is individual, so if you have any questions about your dog’s vaccinations, please speak with your vet and get in touch with us before booking.

Do you have insurance?

Yes. We have 'Care, Custody & Control' and public liability insurances. Full details are outlined in our Terms & Conditions.

Are you DBS checked and Pet First Aid trained?

Yes and Yes!

What happens if there is an emergency?

Your dog's safety is always our priority. In the unlikely event of an emergency, our experienced crew are fully briefed and will act quickly, contact you immediately and, where necessary, seek veterinary assistance. Our crew are Pet First Aid trained and we carry appropriate first-aid equipment on board.
